Fund police. Treat addiction and serious mental illness as part of public safety. Do not put troops in American cities as a governing model.

Gallup, Oct 2025: 60% oppose troops in cities. Pew, July 2026: Republicans still own the crime brand (R+14) — a warning to Democrats, not a license to militarize.
